The purpose of the POW-­‐TSOC is to address, assess and resolve issues associated with the Marine Mammal Protection Act and it’s amendments; become involved in proper co-­‐management of sea otter proposals and/or recommendations; enhance education & outreach regarding sea otter; enforcement; increase the ability to exercise indigenous stewardship & commerce; and provide balanced regulations pertaining to natural resource protection and traditional gathering rights.
